PXE Boot ROM is client-based
firmware that enables client PCs to access and boot from boot image
files on a server. Supports the Wired for Management specification's
Preboot Execution Environment (PXE).
Similar to our PXE Boot ROM, but more full featured. emBoot
Managed PC Boot Agent includes an extensive set of utilities
for boot ROM configuration and creation, editing, and view Pre-OS
and network boot image files. Compatible with a wider set of industry-
standard boot protocols, including PXE, NetWare NCP/IPX (802.2,
802.3, Ethernet II), IBM's RPL, traditional DHCP and BOOTP. Supports
BBS (BIOS Boot Specification) and non-BBS compliant PCs.
Universal boot disk capability with zero client configuration! emBoot
MBA on Disk has single or multiple NIC support, with auto identification
of many different NICs. Works just like a PXE boot ROM, but stored
on a OS-agnostic bootable disk. Mainly used when client PC or NIC
does not have PXE. Floppy disk / CD based versions of PXE available.
Can be extended to other forms of bootable media.
