sanFly Software iSCSI Target Options:
- Free Standard Version. The downloadable base version of sanFly provides the ability to make the disk storage (file system) of any device running Windows XP, 2003, 2008, or Vista available via iSCSI.
- Advanced Functionality Upgrade. Through the purchase of a license key, customers can enable advanced functionality in sanFly to support shared iSCSI Boot images with client-side persistence or non-persistence of changes. New functionality in winBoot/i v2.5:
- Ability to boot Windows Vista Enterprise (SP1) from iSCSI storage
- Ability to boot Microsoft Hyper-V guest virtual machines from iSCSI storage not directly exposed to the Hyper-V host. The Hyper-V hypervisor host containing those virtual machines can also booted from iSCSI SAN. The combination provides a complete diskless environment for the Microsoft Virtualization technology, possible with standard Ethernet NICs.
- Hardware-independent P2V2P migration for Microsoft Vista Enterprise and Server 2008 clients using winBoot/i’s winMigr8 ™ technology.
